“Things that bring you Joy” — was the simple yet important challenge given to each artist in this exhibition. Joy can take many forms: for some, it’s in activism and the power of collective change; for others, soft, tactile comforts or the quiet beauty of the everyday. Some explore joy through cultural heritage, others through identity and self-expression, such as the celebration of trans joy or even memory. Through a diverse range of materials — including print, sculpture, textiles, glass, wool, and mixed media — each artist interprets joy in their own way. Together, these works transform personal moments of happiness into tangible expressions, inviting us to reflect on the many ways joy shapes our lives.
